Pooing in the bath

My friends cat has done this since she brought her home as a kitten, she now one year old.

She has two cats, both female and spayed, they're indoor cats and they both have their own litter trays kept in the bathroom.

Any suggestions on how she could stop this?

I should also say, sometimes she poos in the kitchen too, it's just predominantly in the bath

My parents cat does it as well. They shut the door. I think that works.

We had a bath pooper. Our vet thought the cat might be attracted by the smell of the bleach I’d pour down the plug hole every day. Stopped the bleach, cat stopped popping! Had a 6 year old & 2 year old at the time, they weren’t the best at keeping the door shut!

Our cat does this on the very rare occasion she toilets inside - despite having two litter trays. Now if we are away and MIL is coming in to see to her we put the tray in the bath. She also will go in the bath if she’s ever sick.

I would rather she used the tray but think the bath is the best alternative!
