We had to have our beautiful boy put to sleep last week and are still in bits. We have had him cremated and want to find something tasteful to keep him in when hes home. The vets crem has sent me a brochure of urns/ caskets but they all really naff. Im finding it too upsetting to find anything else on line so wondered if anyone here could recommend something.

We have these ones. They look really lovely and take pride of place in the living room.

I've got some of my car in a glass pig. And she's still in her box. I have never got round to scattering her. And now I just don't want too.

@Sillybillymillyvanilly where did you get them from?

Sillybillymillyvanilly · 16/12/2021 18:23

The first one we got from the pet crematorium but the second was just from amazon. There was more choice of the finish on amazon. The price was pretty much the same, about £40 I think.

I won’t bore you with why I can’t show you a photo right now, but I definitely didn’t want an urn or a casket - to me, it would have been to symbolic of death whenever I looked at it.

The crematorium I used had photo frames - varying in size, so you could have 1 or multiple spaces for photos. The ashes are securely encased in a block/package which sits in the rear of the frame. I thought it was much nicer to see my favourite photos of my boy, rather than look at an urn etc.

I meant to say, I’m so sorry for the loss of your boy - it’s never easy. I hope you find something that brings you comfort.

We have a wooden cat ornament for ours

NMC2022 · 17/12/2021 00:56

I'm so sorry
The other thing is to have a few of the ashes into jewellery. I had some of my horses tail made into rings and they bring me so much comfort every day
