Cat’s got the ‘ump with me.

And I might as well have fallen out with my best friend. Never in a million years would I have thought I’d heard myself saying that! She’s a rescue and has really caught my heart. Anyway, she’s been scratching at a sore on her head. Yesterday and today trying to keep a collar on her to let the sore heal. Tried at lunchtime and she’d clearly had enough and has been hiding under my bed since. Took her food up to her (am I really writing this) and placed under her bed, which she’s eaten.

Will she ever forgive me? Best part, I think she’s now more focussed on her grievance with me which has resulted in a powerful distraction from her the sore on her head.

Aww, cones & cats just do not go together do they 💗

I’d say she still loves & appreciates you as under-bed food was accepted.

At the risk of sounding patronising, well done for serving it there & recognising her need for hiding away for now.

She’ll come round, Cats do know when their slaves mean well & even award points for effort according to a Cat Blog I follow.

Hang in there you two x

I took boy kitten for his castration today 🙈😊 he was most unhappy and legged it straight under the sofa when home, then ventured out later for some cuddles but still with a 'what did you do?!' glare....

Yep. Diplomatic relations reinstated. Phew! Thank you both. She’s stopped scratching at the sore now. Is simply washing it. Hopefully now over the worst with cat’s dignity and sore on the mend.

So glad the C word has departed from her life.

Well done Mummy, further reparations of the food treat kind ahead tomorrow no doubt.

Night night, don’t let the mousies bite :)

I recently had to take my cat to the vet. The vet first tried to manually empty Micky‘s bladder with limited success ( but enough for an examination) and then emptied her anal glands. I have never heard Micky scream so loud. She ignored me for the rest of the day but was fine the next day.

I'm glad bilateral relations have been mended.

Kenwouldmixitup what a lovely Tortie. Is she in a better frame of mind today?

Want2beme · 30/11/2021 21:22

Suzysuz was he all wobbly when you collected him? He looks really sweet.

Suzysuz · 30/11/2021 22:20

@Want2beme he was fine! I think he'd been done late morning, so he was just miffed and ready to go home when we picked him up early evening 🤣 he seems fine now, he's due a check on Friday so I'm dreading trying to get him back in the carrier-cage as he'll definitely still remember and associate it with his last visit, plus he's a wriggly snake to get in the carrier as it is 🙈

@Want2beme - thank you for asking. Frosty relations resumed. Has come down for food and then scarppered off. Sight nor sound this evening. I might luck out and my fur ball alarm might be inactive tomorrow morning.
