Pulling at clothes?

Any ideas what it means when a cat pulls at clothes? So I'm sat at my desk working, dcat has just wondered up, sat next to me & then started pulling at my sleeve with her mouth? Several times, not getting skin, not trying to bite initially (but then turned into a game!) Apart from the obvious of just being annoyed as I'm stil working & showing her dissatisfaction, should I be concerned?

How dare you ignore her? You are obviously rude and not performing your job as her human

KirstenBlest · 24/11/2021 18:40

She'd be much better off with me

Dancingfairydreams · 24/11/2021 18:45

@KirstenBlest I know right?! Such a bad slave! 🤣 she's going through a talkative phase so you are welcome to have her....he favourite time for a chat is about 3am at the mo 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Is he sucking your clothing? Mine does this with his blanky and my oodie he makes biscuits at the same time

MrsSkylerWhite · 24/11/2021 20:06

One of ours sucks my neck and pummels my collar bones if I’m stationary for more than 3 minutes! I’d love to have my clothes chewed instead Grin
Comfort or attention seeking.

Thanks @Dancingfairydreams, I've popped the Kitty Karrier in the car, and am setting off now. Smile

DCat is vocal, and if he doesn't wake me up, he resorts to physical attempts. 4.5 Kg of cat landing on you at 3.30 am does the trick.

He does the pawing if I ignore him.

Dancingfairydreams · 25/11/2021 12:33

Looks like she just didn't like the jumper 🤷‍♀️ as soon as I took it off she pounced & killed it...thank god she has saved me from further harm 🤣🤣

These cats are weird little things aren't they!

They certainly are.

Kneading with paws and sucking is comfort driven I think and sometimes indicates a kitten weaned too early. But some cats are quite kittenish with their owners.
Fabric textures can definitely affect them. One of mine loves Sherpa fleece and can be running around like a loon, run across a fleece blanket and suddenly stop, start kneading and closes her eyes in bliss

Toddlerteaplease · 25/11/2021 15:57

I don't know what it is about fleece. My three all love it. If anyone wants cheddar for 3am Snuggles and baking sessions. She is all yours.
