Leave cat out or in?

My cat is used to us WFH so we let her in and out during the day. I’m out on a job tmw and it’s going to be pretty cold, leave her in so she is grumpy when I get back or leave her out and worry about the cold? She has a one of those cat shelter boxes but no heat pad inside, just a cushion. Someone will be home at 4.

Keep her in.

Definitely out! Cat will be absolutely fine!

I’d keep her in (and install a cat flap at the weekend).

If she has litter tray then in. If not then out.

and yes - install cat door. My cat likes to come and go at odd hours all day and night.

Despite spending much of the last week curled up inside our cat spent today, in the freezing weather, out and about somewhere. I'd leave cat out.

I keep ours in when we go out- as they get chased by neighbours cats so I don't like them to be stuck outside not able to get in.

MrsFin · 23/11/2021 00:03

Out.
Can you leave a window open?

thecatneuterer · 23/11/2021 08:03

Definitely in, and get a cat flap.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2021 08:50

I’d keep them in.

Can't you get a cat flap? Ideally a microchip one so you can keep other cats out.

Iamanicepersonreally · 23/11/2021 18:39

Leave her in and get a cat flap installed
