3 days I’ve been trying to get the flea treatment on dcat. 3 days and I can’t get anywhere near her! I’ve tried all the usual tricks and have resolved that I’m going to have to wait for her to go to sleep somewhere and do it then but… she’s now only sleeping in the depths of the wardrobes where getting to the scruff of her neck is completely inaccessible.

No treats or toys will distract her from knowing when I’m creeping up with squirty tube in hand. I’m going to have to give in and deal with a flea infestation instead aren’t I?Grin

Take her the the vet and get the nurses to do it. My parents do that with their cat

Done it! Had to grab her and then single handle squirt. Only I didn’t realise that the tube was closed and you had to open it first. Opened the tube. Regrabbed her then squirted. Feel like I have run a marathon. Dcat has now escaped through the car flap and will likely not speak to me for days…

Is that a pic post-treatment?

coastergirl · 01/11/2021 22:30

Thanks for the reminder to do Walter!

That picture is pure mint Grin

The picture is pretreatment… She’s giving me a very wide berth right now. I wouldn’t get near enough for a photo! Grin I think I will have to ask the vet for the treatment that lasts 3 months rather than one as I can’t face this every month!
