I've posted on here a lot about boy cats regular calamities. This morning he's come in and he's done god knows what to his nose.

Eating fine, in a bad mood (he is famous for his mood swings), not bothering his nose at all but definitely not happy.

Any ideas? Silly boy.

What has he done now??

No idea I’m afraid but poor boy! Ran into a wall too fast?

dudsville · 24/10/2021 21:22

Is it swollen? Bee sting?

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/10/2021 22:09

I’ve never seen one like that, have you bathed it in saltwater? How on earth a cat could skin a nose though.

JorisBonson · 25/10/2021 06:24

I have no idea how he does half the stuff he does. Our latest vet trips have been due to him poking himself in the eye with a stick, and because of a growth on his nose that turned out to be dirt 🙄

He's very perky this morning and it looks less angry so not too worried. It's not swollen, he just has a fat nose 🤣

It's actually his third birthday today, please enjoy a gratuitous kitten shot from way back when.

Aww, the look of innocence before the chaos started 😻

My theory is he’s been stung by a late in the year wasp and rubbed it on something to relieve it.

JorisBonson · 25/10/2021 13:05

@Fluffycloudland77 He also has form for touching bees and then wandering around with a comically large paw.

Sounds like my parents cat. They rushed him to the vet because he was limping. Lo
And behold he then has a miraculous recovery!

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 25/10/2021 14:18

Aw how cute....no words of advice, but how adorable is he !

AppleButter · 25/10/2021 19:41

Looks like swelling from a sting. Should go in a day or two otherwise off to the vet!

Snozzlemaid · 25/10/2021 19:52

Saw one like this on Facebook recently and people suggested they may have touched their nose on something hot. A part of a recently parked car for example.

JorisBonson · 26/10/2021 08:54

That's likely @Snozzlemaid. He likes to smell everything he sees 🙄

Back to being just a dirty nose this morning.

Oh god, my boy cat is the same. An absolute danger magnet. The shit we've taken him to the vets for is ridiculous.

JorisBonson · 26/10/2021 10:00

Danger magnet 🤣 I think the vet thinks I'm a negligent parent. He's always dirty too, he's a big fan of digging for worms and bringing them into the house.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2021 12:05

I’m sure the vet loves him Wink

Mystery solved - he decided to try to smell a lit candle. DH helpfully only told me about it this morning!

Today he has broken the cat flap trying to bring a big stick in.
