New Kitten nighttime routine

So we have a beautiful little kitten from our local rescue. We have an older boy cat as well. Kitten is older DD’s first own pet and she is taking good care of her.
She’s very good and goes in her litter tray and sleeps on DD’s bed in her own little corner. DD 14 is happy to have her nights disturbed as she knows kitten will be awake a few times.
I wonder if we should bring the kitten to another room the odd night so DD can have undisturbed sleep. She sleeps a good chunk and tends to wake at about 5 to play and use her tray etc.
Any tips on night with a new kitten? We don’t really want her on her own but they can be full on little fur babies would the odd night matter if she had all her toys and bed etc.
We haven’t introduced to older cat yet just scent swapped and he’s sniffed her under the door so she does need to be on her own still in a room.
Thanks

I left our kitten in the living room overnight when she was little. She had warm bed, water, litter tray etc. I just played with her before bedtime so she was worn out and she would just settle down very quickly. Maybe you could introduce kitten to another room for exploring and playing so it will be a familiar place if you want her to sleep there... Good way to get her scent around the house too if you're not ready to do introductions yet.

I always knew if kitten was awake as she'd cry at the door if she wanted us... This only happened a couple of times (when I might have then gone to sleep on sofa with her Grin) but other than that she'd sleep through till morning.

Thank you @jobnockey we have just started letting her play in the lounge as well and then she goes upstairs to bed with my DD. I think in a few more days of getting used to the lounge we could leave her in there with all her toys and bed and tray etc.
Might do that tomorrow and see how she goes. She does settle well to sleep after lots of play.

Aww what a beauty. What's her name?

ilovebagpuss · 20/10/2021 23:12

Thanks She’s called Gia but with a soft G so like Jiaah. My DD’s agreed on the name. I’ve never had such a small kitten the rescue were happy she was 9 weeks she’s just a tiny little fluff.

My 2 kittens sleep with my daughter and don't disturb her at night anymore (20 weeks old now) they do wake early and cry for breakfast though !
