My tabby girl is missing

My lovely, snooty, randy (but spayed) tabby girl is missing Sad She is a voracious hunter and is out all night, with access to our small outbuilding attached to our house. She usually bolts in first thing in the morning, woolfs her biscuits down, then makes a beeline for her favourite blanket where she sleeps for 12 hours straight.

But this morning she didn't come in and has not been back all day. Very out of character and I am so worried. We live in a suburban town where people zoom their cars around all day long.

DH and I have both been out multiple times today and both for long stretches this evening. I've got fliers ready for printing tomorrow morning and posted on my town community group....

Please keep your fingers crossed for my mog Sad

Sad

I hope you find her or she turns up back at home very soon.

How worrying for you. A lot of the time, they get distracted and involved in something or other. It's not unusual for them to disappear and come back in their own good timeFlowers

Oh hugs op. Our fluffy boy has been missing for a week with no sign. He is a wanderer and has been known to invite himself in to houses where he might get tinned sardines instead of cat food.
Fingers crossed that they are both home soon.

Thank you everyone. I have been out with the flyers today, must have done about 30 houses so far. We live on a road with a primary school and the families are mostly pretty local so I've put a poster of her on a lamppost slap bang outside the school. DH is going to drop posters off at the two local vets this lunchtime - I can't do it without blubbing in the vets Sad

It's so windy today if she is out there she could be terribly disoriented and confused.

Three days and three nights she's been gone. I've flyered all houses within 100m radius of our home, put posters up further afield, been to the local vets and posted constantly on facebook. No sightings, disappeared without a trace.

I am completely heartbroken.

There's still a chance she'll turn up, she could easily have been accidentally shut in somewhere, one of mine was missing without a trace for four and a half months, we think a couple of feral Tom cats were scaring him off (once the ferals were neutered and cared for he showed up). Websites like animalsearchuk, Tec are a good idea to spread the message more widely. Is she chipped? That will help to get her returned if she is. I hope she strolls in soon for you.

Supper16 · 21/10/2021 09:15

She is chipped, yes. But no sightings or anything in three days.

So many are killed on the roads. I fear she was hit at night and crawled to a bush - there is a lot of dense shrubbery locally and people are not spending much time maintaining their gardens now it's autumn.

She is a very slight cat and I don't know if she could survive long without food and water if she were trapped somewhere. It was bin day locally yesterday and I hoped that someone may open a garage then and she would return but no 😔

Keeping everything crossed for her safe return soon. It's so worrying when they are gone even a short time but there are many positive stories on here of cats showing up when all hope was lost. Flowers
