90% sure that's male.

In males its round and in females more of a slit. That's definitely round.

Given the distance between openings I'd say boy

I adopted two female tortoises. We'd had them a year before they reached sexual maturity and it became alarmingly clear that Jean was actually John and quite enamoured with Dolly.
