Hand hold for missing cat

Our Milo has gone missing. He has wandered off before for several days at a time but it’s now been a week.
We had him as an emergency rescue from friends who had taken him in after he’d been thrown out by his owners as her new partner didn’t like cats. He had been looked after by a number of people till we were asked to take him, about a year ago. We have had him neutered and chipped. He’s a lovely boy but quite demanding - we have four other cats and he was low down in the pecking order so I think he may have found a home with no other pets and adopted new owners. I’ve done the usual food/bedding outside and posted on Facebook etc so now I guess we just wait.
Please tell me your stories of when cats have turned up unscathed after several weeks away.

Oh no!

I had a cat missing for months. He turned up a couple of miles away, he'd probably been hit by a car, broken jaw but he was OK (someone had found him and got him treatment). He lived many, many more years with a very slightly wonky face that we only loved more. The one thing that changed was he no longer liked cheese.

I hope yours turns up very soon. Have you checked in places where he used to live? Notified the vets?

Will notify the local vet tomorrow. His original home was 3/4 hour away up the motorway so I doubt he’s heading there.

Oh no.
It must be so worrying for you. Hope that a cold night tonight will send him home!
