Info on collar tag

Finally officially adopted a cat!!! Grin yay!!!

She needs a tag on her collar with our info. She was a lost cat and also likes to roam the neighbourhood.

We don't want to put very personal information but something needs to go there Blush what about the postcode and house no? We don't have a catflap so it's not like someone could steal the collar to break in.

The email I'd be willing to put on is tooooo long to fit in a little tag....

Any other ideas?

She should already be chipped which is much safer and more reliable than a tag (cats often lose collars).

If you must have a tag I'd put a phone number only.

I'm not sure what you mean about flaps and someone breaking in, flaps are too small for human burglars!

Mine doesn't often wear his but it says "have your people call my people" and a phone number

Toddlerteaplease · 14/10/2021 17:52

Mine has my phone number. House number and post code. Can't remember if it also says indoor cat on it.

Don't make the cat wear a collar!
Get it chipped - much simpler.
But if you must use a collar, I'd say phone number too.

Ok, it seems phone number is the thing Wink

No, the cat is

(Pressed the button by mistake)

No, the cat isn't chipped. You're right, we should do it. Thanks for the reminder Smile

Our car has a collar because without a bell he catches at least one bird a day. He loses his collar very frequently, I think most cats do. We just stick a sticker on it with our number. I got some of the clothes name labels kids have stuck in their school uniform but we just have a phone number on it. They stick really well, don't even come off in the wash. So much easier than a tag and cheaper in the long run.
