Had my rescue now near 3 months?

After not seeing her for 3weeks! She's now a little poppet, but still ultra scared of everything 🙁

If I move she's off, she never comes downstairs for food when I put it out (although she does eat it when I'm not about)

I want to play with her, but she freaks with the mouse on the string/stick

She was always indoor cat - still is now, and I'm out most of the day at work, I feel sad that's she's still sad - do they ever get over being scared of everything?

Have you got a calming spot on treatment you can give her? Our timid girl took a long time to come round.

Sorry meant to add we have Feliway Optiumum plug in, which has helped

She does come and sit on my lap 😻😻 (although she doesn't always purr)

I just want her to be happy and not spook and run off every time I move 😭

The plug in is now downstairs, but she's still really spooky (larger area I guess?) as when it was plugged into her space - it seemed to work a lot better (yet in her allocated safe room she does have more confidence - even with no plug in)

I guess we're still getting to know each other! Cats!

I think consistency is key. No sudden moves, narrate what your doing & eventually they know your routines. Cats like routines.

Took mine months before I could touch either of them. Now I have to give each of them cuddles in their own preferred way off & on all evening.
