He was 22. He died this evening at home with me.
He wrecked every soft furnishing I ever owned.
I'm heartbroken.
He was my trusty companion.
I loved him ver much .

So sorry. It's horrible when they go. They leave such a hole.

Oldtiredfedup · 13/10/2021 22:41

He was an amazing age wasn’t he? But it’s so hard when they go. You’ll miss him for a long while but it will get easier, I promise Flowers

22 is an incredible age - he must have seen you through so many life changes and experiences.

So very sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry. What a lifetime of love

longtompot · 13/10/2021 23:42

So sorry. 22 is a fantastic age. My old boy is 19 and I am dreading that day Flowers

We are having him cremated and he can then go in his favourite spot in the garden.
Thanks for your kind words everyone

I am so sorry. It is always heartbreaking and it always comes too soon for us, even after 22 years - and that is a magnificent innings.

Look after yourself. Flowers

Sorry for your loss op.
We lost one of 2 db's last year....
A huge miss.

PostcodeJack · 14/10/2021 10:56

So sorry for your loss

caringcarer · 14/10/2021 10:57

Try to focus on the amazing life he would have had. I made a montage in one of those photo frames with lots of shapes cut out when my 18 year old boy passes. I find it comforting to see his little face looking out of the photos. My boy was buried in his favourite sunny spot in garden. Sorry for your loss.

viques · 14/10/2021 10:59

22! That’s amazing, he must have loved being your boy so much to hang on for so long. I am so sorry though, they do leave such enormous physical and emotional holes.

Sorry for your loss. 22 years is such a long time. A lovely idea to put him in his favourite spot. Take care.

Chosennone · 16/10/2021 21:53

We've just had our 20 year old PTS. Its heartbreaking. A huge part of the family for all this time. Much love... it's so difficult 💙
