Rubbing teeth?

Why does MrFattyCat rub his teeth on me? He loves chin-rubs and head-scratches, and sometimes rubs his mouth hard on my knuckles while I'm delivering them. It's not licking or biting (though he will very occasionally do them, too) it's definitely the flatter surfaces of his teeth that make contact with me.

It might be scent marking or possibly sore teeth? Gingivitis seems to be a common problem with cats. I had a beautiful cat who loved having his gums rubbed. I never obliged, but left that to OHGrin

One of my cats likes to rub his teeth along the teeth of my comb. The noise makes cringe and I don't know why he likes it. Cats are weird Confused

Mine does this, I think it's scent marking. As he has no teeth so they're not sore Grin
He says he has ONE tooth which is very important

One of mine does this on my head each morning as a wake up call

I think GreenCat44 has it. Cats are weird.

I'd still like to know, though Grin
