Should we get another kitten?

Just over a year ago we adopted two kittens, a brother and sister, and very sadly the sister was run over about a month ago. We've all been devastated - apart from boy cat who is as chilled out as he usually is. I feel horribly guilty that it happened tbh but that's for another thread - she loved exploring and I naively thought she'd be fine, I so wish we could turn back the clock and do more to keep her safe. Anyway our lovely boy doesn't seem to have been affected at all - no signs of stress or looking for her at any point. They did used to play and groom each other at times but mostly did they own thing.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience or expert advice on introducing another kitten. Would this be a good thing in terms of providing companionship or is it likely to cause our cat more stress than it's worth? He's generally very content and chilled out and I can't imagine him being aggressive - he's so soppy. We'd love another cat but don't want to rock the boat if it's likely to be difficult to introduce them. He's neutered, if that makes any difference.

What do you think?

He's contented as an only cat. You might want another, but it isn't necessary for him. Cats are solitary by nature really. The only members of the cat family who need to live in groups are lions.
