She still has the upper hand!

I've posted before about how we took in a neighbour's little cat (with their permission) a couple of years go. My gingers weren't too impressed as she had always terrorised them even though they were 3 times her size. Nearly 3 years down the line and there is a truce in the house but she still has the upper hand.

DH took this fab photo last night. The gingers were desperate to go to bed (they always like to sleep in our room) but would not budge due to a certain little cat purposely sitting at the top of the stairs. She knows exactly what she's doing little minx. Look at my gingers' pleading eyes.

Little cat was removed to DS's room where she likes to sleep and the gingers were able to curl up happily in our room. Calm was restored.

My little black moggie does exactly the same with my much larger ragdoll boy. She absolutely rules the roost and he will not go past her on stairs so we end up with a Mexican standoff?.. she also guards doors so he can't come into the room the people are unless we stand up and lift him in 🤦‍♀️

That’s so funny. Even more so as the ginger pair don’t look small yet the cat at the top of the stairs (far away?) looks tiny.

Aw poor gingers! I have a tiny black and white rescue who rules her dominion with a paw of iron. Other cat and dog are both terrified of her!

I'm glad you all enjoyed the photo - I thought it would amuse you. Poor Archie and Angus really are the most patient of boys and little cat (whose real name is Bubbles by the way) really takes advantage of them. Her name most definitely doesn't suit her character!

Yes she does swipe at them. To be fair she's had to stick up for herself as her previous owners had quite a few dogs. She is always on the defensive. She has had full on sniffing nose sessions with Angus who is desperate to make friends but then sometimes just as he relaxes she bops him again! He always looks so hurt poor thing. He's also tried to playfully chase her indoors, definitely no aggression in it, but then she gets really scared and lashes out.

It's not all the time, I don't want anyone to think they are all living in a constant state of anxiety!

Thank you. They are gorgeous and as you can tell much loved. The photo of them at the cat flap is one of my favourites too and who would have thought we would end up with little cat living with us!
