I won’t post picture yet because still to meet Beast but I’m so excited! He’s absolutely beautiful. Had a poorly start so may be a while to adopt - even if he likes us. Cross fingers for me!!

He’s coming! We’re happy to accept pre-existing condition re insurance purposes. So excited!!

Brilliant!

Great news! I look forward to the photos.

Meet Little Beast - he’s healing my heart!!!
So playful, cuddly and gorgeous. His default setting is 100% on! He settled in incredibly well. Eating really well, using litter tray and sleeping with us at night - glued to my side! We really have been blessed. He’s snuggled up on my lap as I type - probably knackered after multiple play sessions (and hearty lunch)!

Oh he's gorgeous! I'm glad he's home despite his issues. May this be the start of a lovely new relationship.

What breed is he, he doesn't look like a common or garden moggy?

MrsCatE · 15/10/2021 14:51

He’s a Bengal Seal Lynx. Original owner prepared to shell out megabucks to (probably unscrupulous) breeder but not willing to stick hand in pocket for vet fees, hence handed over to rescue. We’ve adopted knowing risk of possible underlying health issue and that we’ll have to declare for insurance purposes.

He does have a mischievous look about himGrin It's brilliant you've finally got him home.

His little spotty paws and socks are cute!

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/10/2021 22:35

He’s lovely, I wanted a snow Bengal after Asbo went.

They stay 100% on for life 😁

MrsCatE · 15/10/2021 23:39

He’s 100% on yet laid back! Our alarms just went off - queue Mr Cat running around like blue arsed fly while I stayed in bed to comfort Little Beast - he’s a bit pissed off at having been woken up which he’s demonstrated by climbing up my back to my shoulder and purring in my ear.

Mumdiva99 · 16/10/2021 06:53

No doubt he set off the alarms....then climbed up like butter wouldn't melt.

He's a very handsome chappie. What is his condition and will it reoccur?

MrsCatE · 16/10/2021 13:23

@Mumdiva99
Possible infection after severe cat flu. Has had loads of investigative tests plus several courses of prophylactic antibiotics whilst with rescue so waiting to talk to Vet re options going forward. He (cat, not Vet) has daily, multiple zoomies, is very playful and cuddly. I’ve never seen him pant but some sneezing, raspiness and snoring. It’s difficult not to overthink when those symptoms would be completely normal for any other cat!

Mumdiva99 · 16/10/2021 13:39

Gosh poor little thing. I hope he's all better and no reoccurrence.

TheBalletCats · 16/10/2021 15:04

Cat who is currently snuggled into my hip has just given me a look of utter bewilderment & slight “oh, the betrayal!” because I giggled aloud at the idea of vet!zoomies. I tried sharing the joke but apparently he is much too sleepy to indulge silly human flights of fancy.

Little Beast is absolutely stunning. Snuggly companion!cats are The Best Medicine. Ish. Well, they’re very important. And certainly they’re good for joint & abdominal pain… I hope the wee dote turns out healthier than expected himself though: will keep everything crossed for him.

Never feel bad for missing your BastardCat, either. You are so sad because you had a real bond & you are grieving - which happens differently for everyone; & nobody should be telling you not to feel. When you’ve other Life Stuff going on as well your grief will get tangled up in there. And anyone thinking/saying it’s as simple as Little Beast being a “replacement” rather than his own wee self with his own place in your affections can get in the bin. Which will then be yeeted into the sea.

Am so very glad Little Beast now has excellent & responsible humans rather than the irresponsible buckeejits who bought him. I suppose at least they surrendered him to the rescue rather than dumping him somewhere or letting him get really ill THEN taking him in. But that’s basically hitting “not actively abusing their pet”, which isn’t exactly something people should need applauding for. Gah.

Please keep us updated. With photos. Keeping the EPIC cute to yourself would just be mean... Grin

MrsCatE · 16/10/2021 16:12

Thank you @TheBalletCats. Thankfully, just like humans, cats have their own characters. He’s no replacement; BastardCat is equivalent to Jaws and Little Beast is like a bouncy Disney Nemo. I always felt a bit sorry for Jaws.

He's very handsome and I can hear him purring from here!
So happy you've all found each other.

MrsCatE · 16/10/2021 20:25

I can’t believe how lucky we are with rescue beast!
