Sudden BAD breath

My cats breath literally smells like poo. Suddenly. He came in last night and I thought what on earth have you been doing you stink, but it's actually his breath. Funnily enough I thought he has a hair ball to come up the last few days as he was heaving/coughing ? Anyone know what it might be ? He's due his vaccinations so going to get him in at the vets too

Could be teeth - my girl had big issues with her teeth and has needed several extractions over the years including a canine tooth unfortunately.

Actually I think it's coming from his fur! God knows what he's been rolling around in 🤢

My kitten's breath smelt like death for a while so I've added in dental chews to his diet. He is too young for the Oral health dry foods but this seems to have helped.
