In dishwasher or is that gross? What is your bowl cleaning routine? I know I'm overthinking this but indulge me Grin

I wash them in the sink. Only because they have nooks and crannies that collect water if I put them in the dishwasher

SpittinKitten · 15/09/2021 18:39

I wash them in the sink. Only because I don't have a dishwasher.

BlueMoons90 · 15/09/2021 18:41

I wash them in the sink.

Kabloom · 15/09/2021 18:41

In the sink with a separate sponge. Occasionally in the dishwasher. Don’t think it’s gross

Toddlerteaplease · 16/09/2021 09:14

In the sink. I don't have a dishwasher either.

Birthdaygirl1210 · 16/09/2021 09:17

Always in dishwasher , why wouldn’t you .

Oldraver · 16/09/2021 12:02

I wash them in the sink immediately so there is no food hanging around

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/09/2021 13:39

Dishwasher.

Dilbertian · 16/09/2021 23:17

Dishwasher

TaraR2020 · 16/09/2021 23:19

Separate sink as I'm fortunate enough to have a utility room.
Separate cloths.

Batfinkwings · 16/09/2021 23:22

A bit of both.
I really don’t understand why putting them in a dishwasher, a machine designed to get plates and cutlery hygienically clean, is considered gross by some.
My cat is probably cleaner than a lot of people Grin

Exactly what I think.
Amrapaali · 18/09/2021 16:02

Same as @TaraR2020 separate sink in utility with separate sponge.

Even the best commercial cat food is pretty strong smelling stuff. Think salmon oil, meat jelly etc.

Even on a good day dishwashers can smell a bit when they clean strong smelling pans. Imagine cat food gunk and odors hanging around!. I need to scrape off the worst bits with hot water before letting it go into the dishwasher. Might as well Do it by hand to save the faff Hmm

SoloISland · 18/09/2021 16:07

Does everyone have a dishwasher?

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 18/09/2021 16:09

Dishwasher. Either you believe your dishwasher gets things clean or you don't, and if you don't, why bother using it at all

OnlySpam · 18/09/2021 16:29

I'd never put them in the dishwasher as seems gross to me

I remove the washing up bowl and clean them in the sink , gloves on and then I wipe them dry with some kitchen towel as a rule. Quick disinfect of the sink afterwards

Topseyt · 18/09/2021 16:32

Dishwasher. Why wouldn't you?

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/09/2021 16:58

@SoloISland

Does everyone have a dishwasher?
About 50% of the Uk.

First thing my dm bought after her wedding in 1975 was a dishwasher.

maofteens · 18/09/2021 17:45

Dishwasher. Can't see any reason not to.

waybill · 18/09/2021 17:54

We don't have a dishwasher, so they get washed in the sink last after everything else has been done.

Vbree · 19/09/2021 17:39

Dishwasher. Would kill any germs in that heat anyway.

LastToBePicked · 19/09/2021 19:26

Dishwasher. Anyone who thinks it is gross has weird hygiene hang-ups!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/09/2021 19:27

Dh found it gross until I suggested he wash all the cats stuff up himself and BOOM suddenly he’s ok with it.

violetbunny · 19/09/2021 21:09

In the sink with a separate brush. We have the Sureflap motion sensor one, the bits aren't dishwasher proof.

DramaAlpaca · 19/09/2021 21:20

Utility room sink. Never, ever the dishwasher. To me that's gross and I certainly don't have any weird hygiene hang-ups!
