Vomiting cat, how many times before worrying?

My cat is 11 years old, generally healthy, he does vomit occasionally but when it does happen it’s usually straight after filling his face with dry food. Today he’s been sick several times after eating a small tin of wet food, he’s looking a bit sorry for himself, ha may have been sick more but I haven’t been home and he’s been outside. How do I tell if he’s unwell of it’s just the tin of food not agreeing with him? He does hunt and brought home a mouse this morning, I’m worried someone might have put down poison, though he didn’t eat the mouse (it was hole and left outside the back door). When should I worry?

I would take him to a vet tbh.

He’s ran off now which is typical, I will try and track him down, I don’t even have a cat box he hasn’t been to the vets for ages and he outgrew his box. I will have to ask around to see if anyone has one.

Could it be a hairball he is having trouble getting up ? In our cat the non food looking vomit is usually expect a hair ball !

If he hasn't been to a vet in ages and he's hunting are you worming him regularly? Could be a worm burden, or a dozen other things of course. Mine vomits fairly regularly but that's normal for her. If it's not normal for yours and he's dull then I'd take him to the vet.

He was wormed 2 weeks ago, I try and keep up with it as he does like to hunt, no worms in his vomit. Last vomit was quite watery.

He still hasn’t returned, he doesn’t usually go much further than the garden but have checked out the front and back. I’m really worried he might be really unwell and hiding somewhere.
