Hiya

What's the difference between the original feliway or the new optimum feliway?

Has anyone gone from using the optimum to the classic?

Or should I stick to the optimum (as that has worked)

New rescue cat, been here 5 weeks, definite improvement this last week but the feliway ran out today, and she's really skittish again😞

Feliway Optimum is a newly discovered pheromone that is even better at reducing stress than the pheromone in Feliway Classic. There is also Feliway Friends specifically for when there is stress in a multi cat household.
The research team at Ceva are specialists in animal behaviour and have spent years researching these pheromones.

I've only tried the original one. That worked really well.

Didn’t work at all for us. The calm spot on was fab.

I suspected that the new feliway was just a marketing gimmick but our vet recommended it (multi cat household and one of the cats has been very poorly which has changed the whole cat dynamic) and its much better than the old one. Its more expensive but is definitely more effective.

The new Feliway is on offer at Pets at Home (hurrah!) so have stocked up a little :)
