Test your cats intelligence

The idea is,you pick your cat up, and see if their paws or face hits the wall first when you slowly push them towards it

Paws first, intelligent.
Face first. Not

Toots got a 4.5/10

One paw went out, one didn’t and her face was very close to the wall.

I did however have to do the walk of shame by her afterwards as she seemed to get what I was trying to do and then poised herself to attack me as I went by Grin

This is true. Dh came in dripping with blood one night after getting our 6 month old boy in & I was all “who’s mummy’s big strong boy! You are aren’t you!”.

I tried this with Kloppy earlier. It was a challenge as a) he's very heavy so picking him up is like doing a Body Pump class and b) he was preoccupied with something going on outside so wriggled out of my arms and ran off Hmm

Yes - this completely Grin One of our Siamese gets triggered by the word ‘no’ (think losing his temper to a spectacular degree) and if you get injured as a result, my mum just says ‘well you shouldn’t have upset him’ Grin

Dim cat didn’t even attempt to put her paws out. I clearly stopped when her nose was very close rather than bumping her! She continued to purr adoringly at me throughout because her idea of heaven is being carried around…to the extent that DS2 has been carrying her around since he could walk with no adverse reaction.
The smartest cats do something like the cat in this video instead (turn 180 degs and SMACK).
Turned that one off as soon as she announced her pronouns!!

My boy is gorgeous. Love him to bits.

NO BLOOMING WAY am I attempting this !

Therefore, I have to conclude that they will take over the world.

Stormyequine · 04/09/2021 04:38

This is more like a test of humans intelligence. Lets see who is stupid enough to try and pick up a cat and do something it doesn't want! I wouldn't dare with my two. One would rip my throat out, the other would just stalk off and look at me disdainfully, in an, "I'm not cross, just disappointed" type way.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/09/2021 13:14

Turned that one off as soon as she announced her pronouns!!

In that case, you missed the punchline!

MrsBertBibby · 04/09/2021 13:31

Haha, cats are such terfs.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/09/2021 13:39

It's the way that the cat rolls its eyes at the end ...

TheBalletCats · 06/09/2021 18:58

Were the cat’s pronouns [also] shared? Because if not the human in question needs to go away & engage in autodidactic activity, frankly.

Oppressive great human destroying a vulnerable wee kitty’s safe space: these kinds of things are the real issues of our times, people. Rights for cats!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/09/2021 10:58

Were the cat’s pronouns [also] shared? Because if not the human in question needs to go away & engage in autodidactic activity, frankly

That would spoil the punchline. Really, it's about 20 secs long, so find out for yourself :)
