Fleas despite regular Frontlining

Our two cats have been scratching a bit last few days and dd and I saw what most definitely looks like a flea on the long-haired one last night.

I've been using Frontline each month since we got them just over a year ago, but I guess it's not 100% for outdoor cats?

They had their boosters on Saturday so vet was in close contact with them, so assuming that it's a recent/light infestation.

What's the best way to treat an infestation can someone recommend? They're not due another Frontline treatment for about 10 days, and don't want to overdose. Assume that we might need something stronger?

TIA

I think Frontline is one of the ones that fleas are becoming immune to.

My cats are on Strongline Plus which seems to do the trick.

We had this! Yes as @SoupDragon says the little fuckers are becoming immune. We've used Advantage since and not had any issues.

Just flea comb cats, treat with advantage and nuke your furniture/carpet with flea spray. We used indorex.

Thanks so much.

Little jumpy fuckers. You have to admire their species resilience though I guess.

I'll switch to Advantage, get a flea comb and Indorex.

I found out when I came back from 2 weeks away to find the whole house hopping. That was a low point!

Indorex and a different flea treatment sorted it quickly though :)

Ours are resistant to Frontline, we had a terrible infestation a couple of years ago because of it. Little bastards.

We use Bravecto now - seems very good.

Just ordered it all online for £20.

Phew!
