My kitten has been run over

He was only 5 months and I feel so guilty for letting him out but he was desperate to explore and loved his little adventures. He never strayed far from the back garden and used to sleep on DD’s trampoline or bring in random things that he’d found in the garden.

It was reported on my local FB group that a taxi driver hit him and that it happened instantly. God, my heart hurts so much 😢

Oh no I am so sorry, don't feel guilty, cats are independent creatures and it was an accident.

I am so sorry for your loss, what a horrible shock for you. Just one of those awful accidents you couldn't have controlled. Don't be too hard on yourself x

Happened to a 10 month old cat we had. Its very sad but they love freedom to roam and its a risk. Don't feel guilty

This happened to my one year old cat just last week. I wanted to post but was worried there would be lots of people saying she should have been an indoor cat and was feeling too raw about it. She loved her freedom though. It's so sad, sending you lots of sympathy.
I'm sure your kitten had a very happy life with you and loved all his adventures. ❤

I'm sorry to hear that but firmly believe a short life full of adventure is a better life for a cat that wants to be an outside cat than one trapped inside.

I'd much rather a short life fully lived, than a long life half lived. I don't agree with the new craze of controlling and curtailing cats lives. We are all here for such a short time, enjoying what we have is important
