New kitten, am I normal to worry so much?!🤣

She’s 9 weeks old, beautiful girl. Been with us since yesterday. Eating well, using litter tray, playing and napping.

Purring lots, I’m just worrying like I’ve got a new baby 🤣

Am I normal?!

Yes! I don't have kids, but I'm
Sure they are less stressful!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 23/08/2021 17:09

I can't comment without a photo Grin

justthecat · 23/08/2021 17:10

Second vote for a photo 😻

Ostryga · 23/08/2021 17:10

Will definitely help - once we have a photo Grin

Aquamarine1029 · 23/08/2021 17:10

Totally normal. Pictures!!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 23/08/2021 17:13

Are you meeting her every need, wish and whim? Have you given up the best spot on your bed? Are you carefully placing clean washing in convenient little piles around your house? Have you oiled the lock and hinges of your back door so that it will open and close around 350 times per day? Have you anticipated spending more on her food gram for gram and toileting needs than you will ever do for the inconsequential human members of her court?

If so, you're getting there.

To be sure, we'd need photos, though.

AlfonsoTheMango · 23/08/2021 17:30

Can't say without a photo.

HairyMaryMyCanary · 23/08/2021 17:31

Erm... you've forgotten something.

No photo, no kitten.

kitty1993 · 23/08/2021 17:47

Oh man the days of a new kitten are long behind me but I remember it so well 😂
The early morning starts
The anticipation of every toilet trip
Weighing out the food
I don't think we turned our telly on for the first 3 weeks!
Then there's the crying in the night and before you know it this little tiny bundle of fur has completely taken over your life 😂 so worth it though. They'll grow up to be a cat that couldn't care less about your emotions and overall well-being but you'll care so very much about theirs 😂 such great creatures!

Good luck and please post a photo of kitten

Ahem, this is more than we spend on the Christmas filet beef

New kitten, am I normal to worry so much?!🤣
Brollypackedforscottishholiday · 23/08/2021 18:12

Omg, she's adorable.

AlfonsoTheMango · 23/08/2021 18:24

She's too cute for words.

Booksandwine80 · 23/08/2021 18:26

She’s so sweet. It’s like she’s always been here.

justthecat · 23/08/2021 18:26

She’s just like ours was, whiskas and eyebrows bigger than her 😻

cushioncovers · 23/08/2021 18:33

She's gorgeous

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 23/08/2021 18:33

She is adorable.

Yes it's totally normal, like PP my tv was ignored for ages.

I had morning routine, playtimes, nap times, checking the litter tray almost obsessively in case something should be in it for more than a minute, stopping one licking the others butt as they pooed, putting the carriers out so could get used to them, bedtime wind down routine. Weighing food, weighing cats on a weekly basis, doing video calls with kits on my shoulder and head, having food rejected as would sniff it and ignore, my two won't eat any wet food at all, never have only dry.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/08/2021 20:10

My two are cheap to feed. But magic's grooming is significantly more expensive than my own hair cuts. And their insurance is double my car insurance!

HairyMaryMyCanary · 23/08/2021 20:48

Aww, kitty! Thank you for the photo.

SheepPixie · 23/08/2021 21:31

Awww 🥰 adorable and yes completely normal to worry, it’s all part of their training is to be the perfect slaves.

Hivis · 23/08/2021 21:35

What a beauty. My old girl is a tuxy ❤️

OnTheBoardwalk · 23/08/2021 21:37

What a beautiful kitteh.

Remember this when she destroys your house over the next few months. She’ll grow out of it when she’s about 15 😂

Booksandwine80 · 29/08/2021 20:16

Thought I would post an update Grin

She’s been here a week now and we are all smitten. I don’t worry as much now as she seems to have fitted into our lives perfectly. Will also post another photo as I know “them’s the rules”Halo
