Advice for kitten feeding

My kitten is 12 weeks old, how often should I be feeding her? She is on wet food for kittens and I have been giving her one pouch in the morning and one pouch in the evening, but I'm worried she's hungry throughout the day. Let me know x

Little and often.

Does she have dry food down all the time?

Don't you find two whole pouches a bit too much? Mine is 15 weeks old and only now have I upped her wet food quantity.

I started her off with half a pouch in the morning and half at night (when she was 12 weeks old). Added another half pouch just a couple of weeks ago. A full pouch makes her too full and lethargic I think. Probably too much for little tummies (though she will eat it all greedy guts!)

Do you feed wet exclusively or do you also have dry food out?

Kittens should have about 300g of wet food a day. And a high quality, high meat content wet food. Dry food is not good for cats, also a lot of supermarket brands like felix, whiskers etc.... are just junk food for cats. It's like us eating McDonald's every day. Look for a high meat content food and feed small meals 3-4 times a day. When they get to 6 months ish you can move to 2 meals a day.

Kittens burn a lot of energy, they need to be sustained throughout the day.
