Food hygiene for cats

I see online that I am not supposed to give my cat raw eggs, only cooked. Apparently he could get ill with e coli.

He drinks stagnant water, eats the mice and birds he catches, and licks his bum after he poos (not that he does a very good job clean-up job, but that's a different thread). Is he really going to get sick from the same thing that my dc eat when they scrape out the mixing bowl?

I'm sceptical.

Grin

Cats are gross. Mine crunch on cockroaches and pregnant lizards 🤮 but never seem to get sick. Licking a yoghurt lid however gives dcat2 a runny tummy Hmm

They are, aren't they Grin

Also dairy intolerant, hence yogurt makes them ill even if lizards don't.
