Tall cat pees over side of tray

My siamese is a tall boy with only three legs. Whenever he pees he starts low and then wiggles his butt while moving to an upright position. The stream ends up flyi g over the side of our already high-sided tray. Any suggestions for better trays to keep it contained? We used to have a covered box but he found it awkward to get in with his long legs so now with only 3 legs he wouldn't manage. It was the biggest covered box I could find!
Does anyone use the top opening boxes? How do you find them?
Anyone else with tall male cats? What do you use?
Any suggestions welcome. We're currently keeping the newspaper industry afloat soaking up his pee sprays 🤢

dd has a really tall litter tray, like a lidded one, but no roof!

I just googled and pretty sure it the IRIS high sided litter tray that's on amazon that she has.

Otherwise we find putting the actual tray into an even bigger tray helped catch the overflow, but our cats tend to back up right into the corner so that might be more an "over the edge" situation

Thanks laurie, that's the tray we have! He stands at the front of the tray and his butt progressively points higher until he is standing fully erect and spraying over the side.

oh bless him

You will have to construct some sort of splashguard gutter arrangement with a puppy pad??

I might have to get a bit diy on it. Anyone else have recommendations?
