Hi again, I posted my lovely new Persian kitten on here yesterday!

Just after some advice. Last night she was meowing constantly for about half an hour when we went to bed, then she stopped.

This morning I went and got her and brought her into the bedroom for a cuddle and since then she's been meowing loads and loads, sort of exploring the flat but seems quite distressed. What do I do? Is this normal for the first few days?

Thanks x

If she was scared she would find somewhere to hide so if she's having a good look round she's probably ok. How old is she?

Ah okay brilliant! She's 11 weeks. She's also pooed on the carpet twice, not sure how to direct her to the litter tray?

When we got our rescue she would wander around miaowing and seeming a bit distressed before she used her litter tray each time.
I think she needed a wee but couldn't remember where she could go.
She only did it for a day and then she was settled into where her trays where.
Maybe show her litter tray if she is miaowing lots again.

@handholdplease2222. I just saw your reply.

At 11 weeks she should be fully litter trained so poo on the carpet is a little concerning. You can show her where the litter tray is by simply picking her up and putting her in it. If you use the same litter as her prior home she should recognise it as where she needs to go. I'm assuming the accident wasn't due to something obvious like access to the tray being temporarily blocked by a closed door or something. Are the poos fully formed and reasonably solid? Or are they runny?

My Persians like to meow loudly for absolutely no reason. It would wake me up and I'd rub down stairs and find The late Maia happily sitting on the rug. Her sister has recently started the same thing. Since she was always quiet, it's quite a shock!
