Cat stung by a wasp

My cat just came flying through the door really agitated and a wasp flew out of his fur. He's been licking the spot loads and occasionally will run around like it's still in there. He's really agitated and is currently hiding under the bed.

Is this normal after a wasp sting or should I call the vet? We don't know how many times he was stung and don't know if he's allergic or anything.
Thanks x

Poor kitty its difficult to tell when it’s in the fur. Did you go to the vets?

Ours swatted a bee and got stung on his pads. We googled frantically and scraped the sting out with a credit card then wrapped his paw in a cold cloth. The swelling went down after a day. He doesn’t swat bees anymore.

I did see a kitten at the vet with a swollen mouth because he ate a wasp. Literally had a face like chewing a wasp.

Oh bless him.
Mine chew wasps and get stung every time. They never learn!

Hope he is okay !
