Kitty insists on sleeping in my lap like this at every opportunity.

If she's in the mood, Girlcat wants strokes at every doorway. Inside the kitchen, she blocks the doorway until she's had at least 3 full body length strokes. Then just outside the kichen door. Then outside the study door as we pass it, then outside the living room door, then inside the living room door.

Sometimes they are just adorable when they sleep. 💜💜💜

My cats are best friends with our neighbour's cat and recently my neighbour was away on holiday so I was feeding him. I think he was lonely so spent most of his time in our garden with us.

Here's Archie, my ginger, ensuring that his best friend keeps standards up whilst his human is away by giving him a good wash behind the ears!

What a lovely thread.

Kloppy squeaks a lot. If I'm upstairs I'll hear him jump in through the kitchen window with an almighty squeaky mmmm. He then gallops up the stairs, pauses for five seconds before launching himself onto the bed with a triumphant MMMMM 'I'm back' super-squeak before throwing himself on me, all purry and happy. He's a nutter 😻

Buttonboots is currently asleep on Spats' head. All you can see is a little chin peeping out.

They're 3 months old, which make it extra adorable.

these two are 3 months old too, they have just been grooming each other before going to sleep. They talk in little chirrups

I wasn't that fussed about getting a cat, DD convinced me but I genuinely find everything she does so cute. She's really affectionate which is lovely and loves to sit on me in the most funny positions.
And she's best buddies with our dog which is also very sweet.

One of my cats thinks she is a dog. Follows me from room to room, runs down the stairs to greet me from work etc. Waits for me outside the bathroom. I call her my 'furry shadow"; she is always by my side.

Mine loves meeting new people, she particularly likes men.

When I get a supermarket delivery she will run up to the person delivering and roll on her back waiting for her tummy to be tickled.

When my dad visits she is on his knee as soon as he arrives and has to be moved when he goes to bed.

She somehow manages to be on his knee when we are sitting at the table eating.

Ours don't sit on laps or cuddle but I feel like I've conquered Everest if they throw a crumb of affection my way .

Male cat (who loves DD) jumps onto our bed at 4am to chirrup and stamp over us
He has a door cut in the shed door for him to dive into.
He is Bezzie Mates with neighbours cat and goes off calling to her

Female cat (loves DH) claims every room as hers (except our bedroom which is Males domain)
She "helps" DH when he WFH by sitting beside him and pawing him for attention.

I chose them, DH asked me to look through pages of cats online and I chose these two . Bro/Sis young adults .
They regard me in "Yeah , Job Done . You picked us . Don't build up your part "

Insouciant nap on top of the wardrobe. She just stretches herself out in the randomest of places and dozes off. So cute and so laid back

Occasionally lies beside me and rests a paw on my arm or will reach out and touch my face with her paw 🥺

My girl loves being on the back of the sofa when I'm sitting there.
I stroke & talk to her & she will gently tap my face with her paw as if she's stroking me.
She was a rescue & very nervous so it feels fantastic that she can be so loving now!

My cat sees me from a distance as I return home and comes hurtling towards me, miaowing at the top of his voice and then jumps up like a dog. This happens whether I’m gone five minutes or five hours. He also miaows mournfully when he sees me leave and often tries to follow.

Most of the time he is aloof like most cats but he really betrays himself.

My boy isn't a lap cat but he's affectionate in his own way. When I'm working from home he'll stretch up onto his back legs and tap my hand with his paw to say hello 😻

Mine goes for walks across the fields with my husband. He never comes back with him though, so not quite a dog.
