High protein/meat content food

My boys are fed a local pet shop food bit just recently Ginger is on a killing spree of creatures.

I've been reading up and they say improving the meat content of the food they eat may help with this.

Does anyone have any good cat food recommendations?

Wet or dry (or both)

Mine are on untamed wet food and purizon
biscuits

Both grain free, high protein foods and I have empty bowls every time

Harry has Country Hunter pouches and James Wellbeloved dry food. Apart from going off the rabbit pouches he usually cleans his bowl.

They are fed dry only.

We’ve changed to raw (after the recent pet food scandal killing one of our cats….).

I was super sceptical at first about it being a faff but we use Luna and Me and it’s really easy, it comes pre portioned like little burgers.

Not cheap (about £40 a month) but sooo much less poop!

Not in my experience, my cat is on loads of raw meat and brings in huge rats/ birds/ mice!!

Thrive is wet grain free 100% fish/chicken/beef, but with added nutrients they need. Mine have 2 meals of this a day and a mix of grain free dry food before bed. Litter doesn’t smell and they are super healthy with shiny coats.

I feed high raw with a mixture of raw mince from local pet shop - v affordable. With high meat pouches - best I've found are from small UK companies Blink & Untamed.

Thrive dry is high meat (90%)
I'm trying out scrumbles dry alongside the thrive dry

My experience is it massively reduces killing.

Mine are on Purizon dry and Animonda Carny wet. Carny is incredibly popular with the cats but less so with us as it smells so strong and sometimes has random tubular bits in. However it's not us eating it!

Desert cat certainly has the skills to be a hunter but largely contents himself with a tiny bit of Animonda a day and ad lib Purizon. He's full but not overweight, and happy.

Thanks all, some good recommendations to check out.

I've tried quite a few grain free/high meat brands and my cats don't like any of them! Mind you, they are extremely fussy with food. Sometimes they won't even eat a tin of tuna!
