Cat milk question

ahoyshipmates · 30/07/2021 13:22

We are having trouble finding any cat milk in the shops at the moment, and I was wondering whether anyone has tried giving their cat Arla Lactofree milk and if so, how did they get on with it?

That's an interesting question. I have always assumed it's basically the same thing, but have never tried it out.

After a week of searching in vain, I've managed to find some cat milk in Tesco this evening, so once that has run out, I might try an experiment.

Please report back. I'm sure they'll drink it regardless - the question is does it give them the shits.

Is cat milk necessary? I've never given it to either of mine

MilduraS · 31/07/2021 11:17

It's not necessary but one of mine loves it and it encourages her to stay hydrated in summer.

OP, you've probably looked already but my local Sainsbury's keeps extra of their own brand cat milk hidden on the bottom shelf pushed right to the back. The usual stock is on the shelf above so not everybody checks there.

It's not necessary no, but my three fosters go crackers when they see me get milk out of the fridge to make myself a cup of tea, so clearly they are used to drinking milk and are begging for it.

Anyway, problem solved courtesy of Tesco cat milk for the time being.
