So I asked a couple of months ago about adopting Rag dolls. And you lovely MNers shared so much information about breeders etc

However we did a bit more research and decided on a Siberian. She came home last week and we are all utterly smitten 😻

I will be hanging around the Litter Tray a lot more. Well figuratively speaking... though I'm hanging around our cats actual.litter tray as well like a first time mum checking on her wee and poop consistency

What have you called her?

Azula cos we thought she would have blue eyes. But they are actually golden never mind we liked the name so sticking with it.

A friend mentioned Azula.is a famous psychopathic anime character. Oops!

She's beautiful, our Siberian is a huge soppy 6 year old now, such a lovely breed.

Was a bit cynical when I read they behave like dogs but she actually played Fetch this morning with her feather wand. Without me teaching her or anything!

Of course she walked off disdainfully when I tried to get her to do it for DH..So not completely like a dog

For some one so tiny and cute, she does the most godawful stinky farts though! Cleared out rooms. Seems to have settled today. Hoping it was just the new house, new family excitement.

The last couple of days were bad! She was still eating the same food she was used to. Breeder had sent us away with 2 weeks worth of kitten food.

Any one else had this with new kittens?

I had a kitten who did the most god awful farts and had terrible diarrhoea. We had several trips to the vets and after ruling out worms, in the short term, pro-kolin was great (though more for diarrhoea than wind). She happily licked it off a spoon and came running when she saw it. We tried a few sensitive foods that did nothing but within a couple of days of switching to Royal Canin sensible food it stopped completely.

Ah thanks @MilduraS good to know. Will look up Prokolin. Was thinking a visit to the vet if it continued. But all is quiet and unwindy right now fingers crossed

Mine was the same when he first arrived. My husband suggested we call him Trumpy. It stopped after a week or so.

Kitty peering over the couch wonders how people know she is there when they can't see her - little realising that they can smell her :)

Gorgeous cat. Our kittens were really stinky even though we fed the same as they had before. It should settle down..... ours could clear the loving room when pooping in the hall!!

Fetch is a great game. Till they want to play at 10:30pm when you want to sleep! You will end up playing so don't try to fight it.

I had a kitten that could clear the lounge with her trumps. Took her to the vet and she was riddled with fleas and worms even though we had her treated as soon as we got her.

They gave me a stronger worm tablet and she was fine after that.

Such a pretty kitten and so sweet but a real stinker when she let them go.
