So I bought one of those petsafe self cleaning litter trays, and it's been a godsend for the most part.
The issue I have with it though is the pee. I was under the impression that the litter grit would gel together when the cat used it, and get pushed along into the waste container like the poo does. Only it doesn't do that and just ends up sitting there wet, stinking, soaking through the carboard tray and getting all over the cats paws.
Another issue is it promised that the grit wouldn't get stuck to the cats paws and trail everywhere - it is in fact WORSE than normal litter for this and gets everywhere!
Has anyone else used a different (clumping) type litter? I don't see why it would be an issue but wanted to get some real life opinions before I try it!
