Vaccination

Do you all vaccinate your cats? Mine are both 9 years old and have been vaccinated every year but I’m thinking of not doing it this year. They rarely go out and the risk of catching anything is low. I have also read we over vaccinate and it can be detrimental. I really only keep it up in case they need to go into a chattery (once in 9 years!). What are your thoughts? One of my cats finds it really stressful and it has become a real trial!

I like mine to have a MoT every year, so I get the vaccinations done then. Indoor cats so no contact with others, but though I have no plans to go away for longer than 2 nights (DSis sees to them then) I still have The Fear something will happen so they do need to go into a cattery.

The rhinotrachritis and calici portion of the vaccine ( cat flu) bits only protect for 1 year and people can bring flu home on their clothes so even house cats should be vaccinated for flu.
