Toilet training

Due to pick up my kittens next week and wondering if anyone has had any success with the toilet seat training litter tray? The one where you gradually reduce the size so that they eventually use the toilet itself?!

Don't think you're supposed to flush cat poo tbh. I'd be frightened they'd fall in the toilet too. Our toilets are kept shut

Cat poo in the normal sewage system is a big no-no. The processing doesn't remove pet poo pathogens so can end up back in the drinking water 🤢

I never think this system is fair on the cat - it's a natural behaviour to dig and cover. Mine spend ages happily scrabbling after a poo.

It goes against all natural cat behaviour so I really wouldn't advise it.

It very rarely works and is supposed to be bad for their hips I think.

I use Biokat Diamond Litter from Amazon and a top entry enclosed litter tray. (You'll have to wait until their older for that)
When the boys were kittens their litter tray was an enclosed front entry one.
There are zero smells and they have never been outside the tray, had any accidents or sprayed 😊
