Ragdoll prices?

My Grandparents ragdoll passed away last year; DC and I have been heartbroken (we have always visited them multiple times a week and in many ways she was our pet too).

DC are 12 and 10, so not young, but rescues still aren’t keen (I follow all my local ones on SM and have done for years; I’d quite like to have all the elderly ones live with me Grin)

Anyhoo. I WFH permanently, and own my home. I’ve been mulling it over in my mind all year. Have not mentioned this to DCs.

Prices in my area range from £3,800 down to £1000. DGP had no advice on buying as DCat was 18YO. The adverts for the higher priced ones state this is because they are for breeding (which I have zero interest in) and I’m the sceptical sort overall, so give it to me, Vipers. All of it.

We have 2 ragdolls, pedigree but not registered, they were around £500 each (pre lockdown), West Midlands.

I think a pedigree registered ragdoll is now around £1000. You don’t need ‘active’ registered though if you just want a pet and not to breed so no reason to pay higher than £1000. Or wait a couple of months and prices should come down closer to the £650-800 mark (as lockdown will be over).

Is there a uk ragdoll rescue you could try?

Was also about to suggest a breed rescue. I have had three rescue Persians. The rescue I got mine from takes any breed of posh cat though. Though I'm not sure what's happening with them at the minute as the mother and daughter who run it have health issues. It's called St Francis Persian rescue. There is also one down south Called Stawberry rescue. Ps. Persians are awesome as well. Grin

I'm picking mine up day after tomorrow. Best breeder I could find in Ireland, registered, all bells and whistles, show quality (neutered) and she is £1200. I think that is premium price. 2 yrs ago was more like £700-1000

I have recently paid £1400 for my ragdoll kitten. Prices are a bit crazy at the moment but she's been with us 3 weeks and we're already so in love so worth every penny.

I’ve found a rag doll rescue OP (I’m guessing there’s more) ragdolls

I’d forgotten how much I love them!, dammit, our queen empress of fur would NOT allow another cat in the house unfortunately!
