Switching food

When it comes to wet food is it possible to switch between gravy and jelly varieties if they are the same brand? We are having some problems getting the gravy version as much as we need but there doesn't seem to be the same issue with the jelly. I'm just wondering if feeding jelly when we must but switching back to gravy when we have it is possible. I'm hoping that made sense and I've not over complicated it.
Hoping someone may be able to help, I've tried Google to no avail and although it may seem like a trivial issue I don't want to do the wrong thing and have an upset cat on my hands. Thank you.

I give mine a mix of wet foods; some gravy, some jelly. Even different brands. They are bit older (4) and it doesn't seem to affect them. They eat mainly dry food with a pouch/tray of wet food each per day

Yup, I mix mine all the time, they have pate, jelly and gravy.
Your cat may show a preference, mine prefer jelly, but they will eat any texture as long as it's their preferred flavour and brand.
In fact it's recommended to switch things up because then if the brand discontinued one style then your cat can happily be already used to something else.
They actually recommend having two or three brands in rotation, but my monkeys will only eat one brand, so I made do with switching textures.

The only restriction we have is no tuna-flavoured food as it gives one of them the shits

Mine were having one jelly then one gravy. Then I thought I'd treat them and get double gravy.....nope. they weren't having it! I tried to sneak it down. Put it down when they are hungriest etc etc We now only have the regular gravy. But maybe I will try to rotary or add another in for the reasons given above. One of mine has got really fussy and only really wants the dry food.
