Cat care books

Oh wise cat people,

Can anyone recommend any cat care books or cat behaviour books for an 8yo?

We are are due to bring home two kittens in about 3 weeks. My DCs are beyond excited and DD8 is very keen to be very involved with them. We already have a cat who she is wonderful with but she wants to know more about cat behaviours and signs of stress/unhappiness. Basically she just wants them to love her the most Smile

As she is still quite young I'm not keen on her trawling the internet so I thought a book might be good. She's a good reader so would be fine with a book aimed at adults as long as the content is suitable.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not a book, but Cats Protection have some pdfs with lots of good info https://www.cats.org.uk/help-and-advice/information-leaflets/essential-guides

Your daughter sounds lovely. I’m sure the new kittens will love her ‘the most’.

What about Yuki Hattori, 'What Cats Want'? I read this at a friend's. It's got nice illustrations and I think an 8 year old who is a good reader would definitely manage it. From what I remember the text is quite big and I suspect it's aimed at children and adults.
