Poorly Cat, advice please!

Hi all.

My gorgeous ginger and white moggy Alfie doesnt seem himself. Hes only eating a few treats (he would normally eat everything and anything!) Hes sneezing, weeping eye and just doesn't seem himself.

I'm going to call the vets in the morning but I'm just so worried about him ☹

All you can do is keep him and wipe away excessive eye discharge with cool salt water on cotton wool.

How old is he?.

Thank you. Hes 10 but never really been poorly before.

All 3 of my cats went down with cat flu last year and had weeping eyes, sneezing and were really unwell. I was really shocked as I didn't realise they could still get cat flu so badly if they had had their vaccinations. They did all recover but all of them needed vet visits and two of them had to go twice.

Thank you. I'm gonna call the vets first thing. He'll come and have a cuddle for a little bit but then he wants to go out and sleep under the neighbours car 🤷🏼‍♀️

I gave him some leftover chicken which he ate some of which made me feel a bit better!
