Hot weather and not eating.

My cat normally eats fine. But since the hot weather has not been eating much ( still managed to bring a bird in though )

Seems fine. Not seeing them much as they are out a lot. Sunning in the sunshine.

Anyone else’s cat eat less in the hot weather. Don’t want an un necessary trip to the vets as it is stressful for him.

Funny you should say that. My boy cat eats whatever is put in front of him and also tries to get his sisters but this past week he's definitely not been as interested in food. Ive found smaller portions more often have suited him better.

We took our kittens (11mo) to the cattery last Wed - when it was really hot. I mentioned they hadn't eaten much that day and the owner just told me it was perfectly normal in the hot weather for cats to eat less. Which put my mind at ease. I hope that helps.

Yep mine is the same, we are feeding little & often at the mo, she is also going out early, 5am ish, then back in at 7 & sleeping till midday so we have adjusted her food times to suit this...like the slaves we are!
