My pair are very huggable! My friends cats would tare you to shreds!

Boycat has already had 3 mahoosive hugs today - 2 before work and 1 when I got in. I would imagine he'll ask for a few more during the evening. Girlcat only really likes hugs in the evening (or when I'm gaming on the PC of course!).

Not a chance! He'll sit on my lap for a strokeathon, but any hint of a hug and like a cat out of hell he'll be gone, gone, gone...

Have hugged and cuddled all five. Not a lot else achieved today.

Hmm, mine is being particularly adhesive today - I thought it was the hideous weather but maybe she just wants to ensure she gets her quota of hugs in!

Well Boycat got in another 3-4 hugs, and I think I may be developing a hernia from picking him up (he's a BIG boy). Girlcat had a lovely snuggle too, so I feel I've carried out the Hug Your Cat day duties OK.

Bernard let’s out a little squeak when he is hugged. I like to think it’s a squeak of pleasure, but somehow I don’t think it is…

She looks very much like mine. I'm not allowed to hug her either, she is affectionate but totally on her terms.

I've suddenly gone a bit off hugging Boycat. Was lying on the bed, Boycat lying on his side with his back against by thigh & I was stroking his belly - very regular occurrence this - when I suddenly realised that he was "displaying" a certain part of his anatomy that is normally tucked away internally.

In the 5 years since he's lived with me, you could have thought he didn't even HAVE that part of his anatomy as I've never seen it before. He's been done 6 years, and never shown any signs of knowing he was a boy IYSWIM.

I'm hoping it just sort of slipped out because he was so relaxed & happy (belly stroked is his favorite thing)!

I've just kicked mine out to go get some exercise 😆

Cheddar just got hugged while I clipped her claws. She was not impressed.

Our boy is a hugger, massive softy and gives the best cuddles

Our girl is still a bit twitchy (only had her 8 weeks and she is ex semi feral farm kitten)

@Allergictoironing. My departed Bengal would do that sometimes, I don’t think it’s sexual because we’re not their type.

Mine usually did it when he snuggled up under my chin having belly rubs but only if dh was there as dh found it completely abhorrent behaviour. Sometimes he’d get off my lap to give it a good clean while maintaining eye contact with dh which pretty much tipped dh over the edge.

I don't really have a problem with it, just that after 5 years you sort of forget he even HAS one. Unlike a friend's yorkie years ago, who despite being done as a puppy still used to shag my arm at every opportunity!

I am very glad to report I haven't seen MaleCats Tackle . Maybe there are advantages to being forbidden any hand/belly contact
