Rescued a lovely indoor cat yesterday from a flat. He will be going out after his vaccinations. Anyways he has gone from flat with one person to a house with 2 children aged 6 and 11 and me and dh. He have an elderly cat aged 12. Anyways the cat was hiding yesterday. He came out last night for a fuss but cried all night.

He then went looking for my other cat who was hiding and she was growling and hissing.
He's hiding again today and older cat is outside whilst we are out.

I have put their litter trays together and food bowls together. Is this OK. Or does it need moving. How to I get them to get along. New cat is 2 and has had the snip

New cat please help

If you can I’d give them their own space whilst they get used to each other

You need to give them time and make the introductions very slowly. If you google 'introducing cats to each other' you'll find a lot of useful resources.
