Does your cat watch tv?

For some reason Toots seems to really enjoy watching tv. Here she is watching haunting of hill house

Mine like cartoons. Things like Tom & Jerry and Bugs Bunny. Basically, cartoons with lots of chasing in

One of my cats loves to watch tv. Just sits there for ages following along, watching very intently.

A couple of our boys have been dedicated followers of snooker on the telly. There’s something about it which they love - they’ll try and catch the balls and are very disappointed when they roll into the pocket . Not all of them though.

Not since it knocked the telly off the wall trying to catch something.

She enjoys watching my phone too. Especially if I’m playing a game

The late Maia used to love Bake-off. Cheddar enjoys Hey Duggee. (As do I!. No kids)

Back in the early 90s my cat would walk into the living room at half five and sit down to watch Neighbours. At six o'clock when I would switch over for Home and Away she would get up and leave.

The cat we had when I was a child loved Rainbow, especially the animated bits.

Unfortunately I cannot say I know a song about that!!

If mine catches sight of an animal- doesn’t matter if it’s a sheep or a zebra herd- she is transfixed.

Have you ever played them birds for cats videos? My last cat loved these!

Generally no, or they have grown out of it after the kitten stage.

However I had one cat that loved the football, transfixed by following the ball.

She launched herself at the telly.... and looked behind it and was very pissed off the birds were not behind the tv

Not a cat, but my Dd when she was a baby, even if she was screaming blue murder would stop as soon as the Hollyoaks theme tune came on.

That cat watching the bird on telly has reminded me of a story my mother in law told me. Over the years she has had various budgies as pets. One time years ago she was 'babysitting' a friends one. When the friend came to collect my father in law shouted "the bird can't go home yet - the football hasn't finished". He was sat watching the footy with their bird sat on one arm rest and the friends bird on the other. Happily watching football !!

The watching the tv with the birds has unfortunately triggered a bad reaction with my cat

Now whenever she hears any sort of twittering, she thinks there are birds around somewhere and watches the tv with intense scrutiny, just in case a bird might fly out just for her

AlfonsoCat likes to watch videos on Amazon. He doesn't seem to have a preference as to subject matter.

Haribo watches birds on nature programmes but his favourite is on YouTube - Magpies for cats. If I'm on the computer and he wants magpies he will get in my way until I put them on.

Buns RIP loved TV. She especially loved country file. Tabby my current cat has no interest in it.

BastardCat was transfixed by that Big Cat documentary - only time I’ve ever seen him watch TV!

My childhood cat loved to watch football and snooker - she never chased the balls on screen - just sat back and watched.
