As photo....she's been sitting like this all day. She's not done it before, is it normal or is there an issue?
She hasn't been for a no.2 today but is weeing fine. She's 9 months old (and very lovely)

Is she speyed? If not, She could be in heat.

Oswin · 07/05/2021 18:11

Has she been neutered? Looks like she may be on heat.

Soberfutures · 07/05/2021 18:12

It's the pose they do when on heat. Is she also crying a lot? First heat is from 6+ months

Sleepybunny21 · 07/05/2021 18:14

She's got the horn!

CheshireCats · 07/05/2021 18:15

She is in season

dementedpixie · 07/05/2021 18:19

Has she not been spayed? Should be done around 4 months

TheSpottedZebra · 07/05/2021 18:20

... and have your other cat/s been neutered?

Peachyqueen · 07/05/2021 18:21

Oh man, I didn't think of that Shock no she hasn't yet, we only got her a week ago and she's booked in for a spay a week on Wednesday. Luckily her pal has been spayed already so no chance of kitties (they're indoor cats).

She has been very vocal and wanting wanting of fuss today. Bless her heart, she'll have to be frustrated for a few more days! Grin

I'll give the vets a call tomorrow to see if we can get her booked in sooner.

Let the vet know as with dogs at least you need a gap between when they are in heat and when the have the op.

CarrieMoonbeams · 07/05/2021 18:25

Yup, we used to call that "adopt the position" before my Dcat got speyed 😂.

Bless her. Prepare yourself for some Brian Blessed-decibel miaowing for the next few days!

TheSpottedZebra · 07/05/2021 18:26

Oh no poor thing.

I'm sure you know you have to be REALLY careful that she doesn't get out? Cats are determined sods anyway, but more so at this time.

Blueskytoday06 · 07/05/2021 18:28

She is beautiful Smile

CervixHaver · 07/05/2021 18:50

It's called 'presenting'

Some women do the same thing in porn videos

thewideeyedpea · 07/05/2021 18:55

They can still spay her if she is in season.

DanceWithYourBalloon · 07/05/2021 18:56

Ha ha! From my experience of my old cat, you'd better bet some ear plugs!

Wolfiefan · 07/05/2021 18:59

Be bloody careful she doesn’t escape. They will do ANYTHING to get at an available male.

Vinorosso74 · 07/05/2021 19:06

Yes, keep the doors and windows tightly shut!!!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/05/2021 19:06

You might get Tom cats hanging around too. You’ll need to be tighter than Fort Knox until she’s done.
