Anyone here have a British Blue?

Hello everyone, After over a decade of wanting one I have decided to look for a British Blue kitten, I have found a breeder local to me and we are now in contact, I'm not sure yet if I will be getting one this year or next at the moment, For now just looking into things.

I have been looking at raw diets online and think I might be interested in doing this.

I was just wondering for anyone who has a BSH, What do you feed them? Approx how much per month would you spend on food?

Thanks.

Great choice! I have two BB at the moment and have had others previously. I absolutely adore the breed, they are just fabulous! If you haven't already join the British Blue Cats (pedigree BSH/BLH all colours welcome) it is a fabulous site and you will lots of useful information action.

I don't raw feed mine, although a lot of people do and you will find info on that on the above site. Mine are fed on Royal Canin BSH dry and grain fee wet food such as Applaws. They also get cooked chicken. In terms of cost probably £15/20 a week.

Good luck and if you choose a BB you will be totally smitten!

My DS and DIL have 2 of them. You can feed them what you like but we always give our cats really good food which is pricy. I usuly pay around £50 a month.

Here’s Bernard, 10 months, sat on the bookshelves again.

The breeder had given him raw food, but we found it a bit of a pain given you really need to buy quite a bit, keep it frozen, then defrost it ready for use. We moved him onto the Feringa pure meat foods, which you can get on Zooplus. He has one small tin per day (plus anything the little ***r can steal from the kitchen when nobody is looking).
