Sureflap microchip cat flaps £30 in Lidl

They’re £53 on Amazon, £54 at zooplus, even more on some sites.
It’s the standard size so not really suitable for a large or fat cat.
(I don’t know if all stores will have them in, they’ve been reduced from £40)

That’s a good price! I’m sure I paid £60 on Amazon, back in the day. It’s worked really well.

I don’t think I could justify getting another one though; the daft beasts are needy enough (and expensive enough) as it is...

Bumping for you.

I had one of these, my very sociable ginger tom used to invite his friends round and stand close to the cat flap, if he stood in the right place all his friends could come in. We were party central for the local cat community and woke up one morning to hear a cat yowling and found one of his friends had just given birth to six kittens in my spare bedroom. I was told not to move them or the mother would reject them so that was fun.

Oh I didn’t get one either! I already have that size, and my large/fat cat hates it (I didn’t have him when it was installed). I really need to replace it with the bigger one. Meanwhile I open and close the door a lot Grin

I have my catdoor in the French Door ( so the cost of the CatDoor+ the cost of the replacement glass to enclose it)
I cannot remember exactly how much but ££

Our doors are all open except DD bedroom which is the room FemaleCat wants to get into. I could fit a MicroChip flap in DD door to let female cat in.......

Our cats like to sit on either side of the glass door enabling their chips to activate the sensor and over-ride the other one .
Little gits Grin

They are such clever little gits!
(Like @ancientgran’s bad ginger Grin)
Ours is in a French door too, but we had it made mostly glass but with a small solid plastic panel at the bottom, and the flap is in that.
(No idea how much they charged for fitting it though, as it was part of the door installation)
