Took our 6 yr old Bengal cross to the vets tonight after feeling a huge lump on his chest this morning. He cried like it hurt, so I thought it was an abscess; we’ve not long moved house and he had an abscess on his head a couple of weeks ago, which burst spontaneously and I bathed etc, all better.
The vet said it’s not like an abscess, but prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds for a few days. She clipped the area and said it looked bruised and inflamed. I lifted him up to have a look, and it’s not an abscess, no way. He’s still himself, not the cuddliest cat ever, but I’m really worried now.
I’ve had a shit day anyway, and so fed up now.
